I tell stories through image.
I am Kiet Nguyen, a Vietnamese filmmaker based in the United States.
I started with stories that lived very close to my own community: nail salons, immigrant pressure, laughter, collision, and the parts of everyday life that rarely receive cinematic tenderness.
For me, a beautiful image is never enough on its own. What matters is whether the story leaves the audience feeling something true.
